View Full Version : looking for a t-top 18ft bay boat MrHunters 07-10-2006, 07:37 AM Figured I'd put it here... Looking for a t-top for an 18 ft CC.. new or used. or ideas where to find one. :thanks: taJon 07-10-2006, 01:12 PM what about the catalog chris gave you. Should be in there.. taJon 07-10-2006, 01:13 PM Or just ask chris, I think his is custome, or we could make one MrHunters 07-10-2006, 01:23 PM looked through the catalog, all i could find were bimini's likwid 07-10-2006, 01:24 PM custom: Thurston Sails in Bristol. I'm sure Steve still does sunbrella tops. MrHunters 07-10-2006, 02:02 PM does he have a website...? the link i googled doesnt seem to work. likwid 07-10-2006, 02:47 PM I just sent the guy there I know an e-mail, I'll let you know if they're still doing canvas work for powerboats. Thurston is now Thurston/Quantum and I don't know if he dropped doing dodger/bimini/t-top canvas alltogether. MrHunters 07-10-2006, 02:55 PM thanks likwid, to be clear.. they don't do custom t-tops... just canvas for them.? likwid 07-10-2006, 02:59 PM not sure if they'll do frames. i know they used to... but i think they're stickin to just canvas these days. likwid 07-10-2006, 03:00 PM Ok, Steve Thurston is still doing canvas tops. But they have a big backlog right now. Easier to talk to them beginning of winter and get that stuff booked up right at the beginning of spring. MrHunters 07-10-2006, 03:05 PM thats good to know... should i look elsewhere for the frame? likwid 07-10-2006, 03:25 PM He could probably point you in the right direction for a sturdy frame. Unless anyone else here has a good recc. wrench 07-10-2006, 06:48 PM Mr.Hunters, boatersworld carries these http://www.cesmithco.com/product/ttop.htm also use the link on the side of the page, dealer in quincy listed. He has a ad in offshore magizine or the fisherman for a hundred dollars of installed top I belive. Just was at Boatersworld in warwick RI. they have a T-top displayed in the store. Mike MrHunters 07-10-2006, 07:55 PM did you happen to catch how much it was? Im pretty sure I could install it myself... but that is just what im looking for. MrHunters 07-10-2006, 07:59 PM nevermind... found it on their website... 1200 bucks w/o the canvas. maybe a good tax return present :) wrench 07-10-2006, 08:00 PM I think it was somewhere arond $1450. Top uses 7/8 tubing so not as heavy as 1 1/4 aluminum. This would make it so boat is not as top heavy with top on. this site has all prices,do not know all the parts you need,http://www.boatersworld.com/product/169550019.htm Mike vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
