And I have ordered a new server for Striped-Bass.com. While this one has been still pretty quick (most of the time) it is getting a couple years old and time to upgrade. The new server will be faster (Dual Core) with more memory, RAID, faster drives and all kinds of good network geek stuff. The network will be closer and faster for the vast majority (if not all) of us.

What does this mean?

Mostly, a pretty easy transition will take place in a couple weeks.

We'll have more room to add some nice stuff for you members (I have a couple interesting things I'm working on).

Thanks!

John

Yeh - just kidding. No, as I stand on my soap box from time to time as I rail against trading spots for profit, I would be a hipocrate to sell forums for spots...

RAID was very expensive and this site would loose money had I gone RAID earlier. Now it is only a double digit $XX per month for RAID, not tripple digit like before. But I did have consistent backups and a 4 hour hardware SLA. (2 HR SLA now)

you'll have allot more to bitch and moan about
because the "rules are gonna change"....

she will start to adopt any or all of your bad habbits
and justify them by saying: well,....... you do it.....

like when she happens to be wearing your favorite t-shirt

or you'll wake up and find your plug bag missing
and a note that says.....gone fishin... :rotfl:
