What kind of sailboat. Great dog. Nothing better than a dog that feels at home on a boat.

Our's is Nellie - 7 year old golden retriever, will try and figure out how to upload the picture in the near future. Sorry, not camera savvy.

She got sprayed by a skunk last night! Yuck! Poor thing it was awful, it happens about once or twice a year, but I always seem to forget how terrible the skunk smell is ... Dawn dish detergent worked wonders on the smell though.

Andy,
Go get a case of Massengil douche..... trust me. Then you won't be getting strange looks from the clerk at the 24 hr convenience store in the middle of the night when you go to buy douche!

My department has used Mals for their K9's for years now, they are an amazing breed. They never say die, loyal as the day is long and smart as hell. Where did she come from?

Hooper is our 5 year old yellow lab seen above

Which department? When I was living up in Brighton we used to go play with a couple state mals at the dog park up there when they were off duty. Probably the most amazing breed of dog I've ever met.

She's from Calgary Canada (Klaar Belgians), her sire is Gildas du Mas des Lavandes (one of the most winningest Mals in N. America in ScH etc.)

Her sister has been working over the Canadian circuit:

(her and her sister might as well be twins... both have the same markings... same fluff at the base of the tail... and both are TERRORS when left to their own devices)

quoth my girlfriend's mother: “strange critters with little demon feet”

For anyone who's unfamiliar with Malinois, watch this video, you'll understand: http://www.big-boys.com/articles/policedog.html

My 11 year old black lab. She is graying up now and can't chase the ball/stick/squirrels as long as she used to. Great around kids though - sometimes wish I had her patience

I work for Yarmouth on the Cape. One of our handlers had a Mal named Shadow. Shadow has passed on now but he was ranked in the top three nationally one year and was an absolute beast on a track. This dog would die before he quit a track, and he could bite like no tomorrow. He tracked four hours once and we ended locking the guy up in the end, he tracked right to where the guy was hiding out. He gained notoriety a few years back when the handler was sued federally for a civil rights violation using the dog. It was all pure BS and it failed in court but it was quite a case in the K9 circles.
