Let me start a new thread on this tournament instead of simply
replying to Blue Oyster's earlier inquiry, because I want most of
SB members to know about this tourney.
Information is available from Secretary Dawn Mantia at tristatetournament@adelphia.com. The Maine leg is held at Old Orchard Beach at the Beau Rivage Motel (off season rates) and usually starts Friday nite (this year that is Sept 8). It's catch and release and as good a tourney as you will find for fellowship and learning. For those who are location bound you will learn new spots and techniques in Maine, Cape Cod and RI. Entry is usually through
a club membership but independents can be accomodated. Fee is
$10 but buttons and trophies worth much more.
Some top rods are among the regulars and if night fishing gives you
the willies this is the tourney to cure that problem. I will be there
and at the RI leg in late October. See you there.
Tight lines.
