Thought I would post one more time about this. Anyone know where the Little River Herring Run is in Gloucester? Im still researching local regs on this place, but I do know that a new ladder was installed a few years ago to replace the old one.
Anyone know where exactly it is? I have a good idea on the location but could use some more precise directions.
Thanks

The only Little River I was able to find is off the Parker River in Newburyport. Couldn't find one in Gloucster. Did you check with a local B&T?

I think that may be the Annisquam river which runs behind my sisters house in Glouster. That river originates from a salt pond off the road to Rockport. It is a sweet little river that produces some excellent sight casting opportunities.Excellent place to flycast for stripers!

Well I got an answer to my question about this....Location or not, the city of Gloucester done NOT allow the taking of Herring from the run.
Oh well....it was worth a try anyway

This is a list of runs that was current as of last year - according to the state. I have been unable to find an updated or more accurate document. It does list the Little River as a state run which would not fall under the guidelines of the town - that may have changed so it might still be worth looking into further:
