Sad day for sure 11 years ago :( Millions of fans were crushed that day.
I still remember where I was when I got the bad news.
He was a piece of work, it's a shame he lived hard and died young.

Jerry Garcia Band was great. I was born in the wrong era, listened to the dead all thru growing up, saw about 35 shows plus JGB. Listening to "Deal" right now... RIP Jerry

Because I was out there in SF when it happened.
Seems odd they would fly the next day to play the Warfield.
I'll go find my ticket stub for the exact date.

it was a couple weeks later.
