He is funny, entertaining....and I have grown tired of Bill Dance and some of the others....info-mercials to say the least! Look! Bill Dance caught another 4 pounder!:sleeps: redneck24 08-10-2006, 09:01 PM charlie moore :hidin: tattoobob 08-10-2006, 09:01 PM Charlie "The Toolman" Moore! He is funny, entertaining....and I have grown tired of Bill Dance and some of the others....info-mercials to say the least! Look! Bill Dance caught another 4 pounder!:sleeps: LOL, The Cod Father, I don't watch to many of them, OTW is usually good but they only make like 6 a year Raider Ronnie 08-10-2006, 09:06 PM My favorite is Jose on the Spanish Fly ! I like On the Hook also,it helps that Dave Sloan is a local guy and that I know him a bit ! but the show is good !!! Bigcat 08-10-2006, 09:12 PM Years ago used to be a show on sponserd by North River Bait and Tackle, I think the hosts name was George? He seemed like a regular guy and use to fish a lot of the local ponds and lakes. I don't know what ever happend to it ? I thought it was a great show every place he fished was just a tank of gas away:cheers: MotoXcowboy 08-10-2006, 09:34 PM I like the mad fisherman on NESN, and the "beat charlie moore show" on ESPN On the Hook w/ David Sloan On The Water that new Freediving speargun show they have on ESPN. I used to get kicks out of the Fred Barta show. I've enjoyed the few episodes of the cuttyhunk charter captain show I watched too. CAL 08-10-2006, 10:03 PM Years ago used to be a show on sponserd by North River Bait and Tackle, I think the hosts name was George? He seemed like a regular guy and use to fish a lot of the local ponds and lakes. I don't know what ever happend to it ? I thought it was a great show every place he fished was just a tank of gas away:cheers: I remember that one. I think it was on NESN, and then it just disappeared. I don't even think that shop is around anymore. The one I watch is the one with Chris Fischer I think. I just watch it 'cuz his wife is hot :bshake: I hate the OTW one because after you take out the 13-14 minutes of commercials you get basically a 15 minute show. And out of that they always do two segments on different types of fishing. I don't want to watch 7-8 minutes of striper fishing from a boat (which it almost always is) and then 7-8 minutes of flounder fishing. They should pick one thing and spend the entire 15 minute show on it. Skitterpop 08-10-2006, 10:09 PM Gaddabout...nothing like it nowadays Van 08-11-2006, 08:41 AM Its not on anymore, I believe it was call "FISH ON". Three blonde bikini babes fishing all over the world. SHWEETT> Everything else is just fishing... zacs 08-11-2006, 09:11 AM 1) Spanish Fly - Jose Wejebe 2) On the Water 3) Offshore Adventure 4) Off the Hook 5) Hunt for Big Fish Those are current shows. I have favorite shows that aren't on anymore. stripersnipr 08-11-2006, 01:02 PM Cant remember the name of the show but it stars Mark Sosin. I love the way he takes over a charter and lets the skipper know who's really the highliner in charge. BMEUPSCOTTY 08-11-2006, 06:31 PM The fishin' hole w/ Jerry Mcginnis (sp) which is not on anymore, they got him on basscenter or some crap now. He is a smallmouth lover like me, and he didn't call them "sallies". Charlie Moah the fishin' hoah wears on me with his larry and sally routine, also I don't think I've ever seen him catch anything over 5 pounds, unless you believe what he is telling you they weigh. I like the Beat CM format though, and I like his guests, local sports heroes and such...http://freeweb.supereva.com/esorciccio2002/smilies/fishing1.gif thefishingfreak 08-11-2006, 06:42 PM the best was sportfishing new england with Mike Alpertin about ten years ago.. thats phestaris' uncle btw.. next is go phish. what a life.. travel the world with your kick arse boat and fish whearever you want.. with your smokin hot wife and a chef on board  luds 08-11-2006, 07:02 PM Spanish Fly is the best IMO. Couldn't remember his name. thefishingfreak 08-11-2006, 08:55 PM yeah, the guy that cussed gamagatsu. and anything that wasn't made in the usa. or a newell. used to squeze the pearch at the end of the show.. buh-bye.. Slipknot 08-11-2006, 09:10 PM the best was sportfishing new england with Mike Alpertin about ten years ago.. thats phestaris' uncle btw.. ya, excellant show that guy had. wasn't that the one that had a the guy tonging cows on eels in the north river from shore one morning? I have that one on tape :btu: My favorite is The Spainish Fly. CAL 08-11-2006, 09:32 PM Slip, was that the one when he was way up in the narrow bends of the river? The show I saw he was using live herring.... when that river had herring. thefishingfreak 08-11-2006, 11:23 PM http://www.striped-bass.com/Stripertalk/showthread.php?t=15989 check out the picture. thats him http://www.striped-bass.com/Stripertalk/attachment.php?attachmentid=7531&d=1088196582 Backbeach Jake 08-12-2006, 05:30 AM I remember that show now, Freak. That was a wicked pissa show!! Flaptail 08-12-2006, 05:47 AM I grew up in Worcester MA., home of most of the greatest Striper men who ever lived. Pioneers and legends and the best was Frank Woolner who hosted, with his brothers Jack and #^&#^&#^&#^&, "Woolner Brothers Outdoors" on Ch. 27. I can remember watching Arnold Laine, the Kissel's, Paul Kukonen, Leo Perry, Stan Gibbs,Woolner himself and a host of others on that show. My Dad, my brothers and I never missed it. You could learn how to load a P-40 Atom, rig an eel, trout fish or hunt Grouse. The striper films were the best. Nauset in the 50's and 60's, P-Town, Cuttyhunk trolling. Awesome. No one, as far as Striper fishing goes has even come close to that show's content since and I mean no one. Swimmer 08-12-2006, 11:46 AM Bring back FISH ON! jim sylvester 08-12-2006, 12:56 PM fish on was the best.......got the attention of viewers that were not even fishermen...by far the best hosts and quite the anglers as well hunt for big fish is my fav right now striperman36 08-12-2006, 04:41 PM Addictive Fishing. I work with the dudes brother and have been down to fish with him in the past. Hilarious! and a true sportsman not just some dude makin a name for himself like some other dweeb from up here that fishes in a hardware store. NIB 08-13-2006, 05:39 PM hunt for big fish is my fav right now Hunt for big fish with Larry Dahlberg. It's usually a 5 minute snippet in between shows. This guy rocks.Monster fish in some south american country out of a litlle dingy.cool stuff. There was this one show he was catchin some kinda mutant species in 5' of water using big Johnsons weedless spoons.45 lbers crushing these spoons in the shallows AWESOME. That Smoking Hot Blonde that crawls around in the safari an eats bugs is really cool also.My kinda woman. They always give ya a great but shot.:kewl: Jose used to be cool.Tell him to put his shoes on. Mr. yosuri/shimano Fish On with the kid. ZZZZZZZZZZZZ they used to fish more now they dive more. They had a great show where the caught these giant squid. Tough to find one thats not a sponser riddled, add filled BS session.they all pretty much stink.impossible to watch .I did watch some of the motauk guide show for the trainwreck effect. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
