Putting our beloved Mako up for sale. We're the original owners and after 18 years of fishing for tautog in November in the cold, we finally want something warmer.

So here are the details:
-1987 Mako 224 center console
-Specs: 22'-7" 8' - 0" 14" 19 Degrees 25" 2200 lbs 112 Gallons
-New Lowrance 337c gps/chartplotter/fishfinder with nauticpath charts.
-New Jabsco raw water washdown pump.
-New Rule bilge pump and switch.

-Penn Downrigger swivel mounts, (downriggers not included).
-Boat is currently in the water in Warwick, RI. We have a great slip and you could have this space for the rest of the season and you have dibs on it for next season. This marina usually has a waiting list several years long. The space we have took us years to get and is in an ideal location.

-Boat is in nice shape, but we fish pretty hard. With a little restoration, this would make a really sweet fishing boat. Or leave it as it is (as we do) and still fish hard.

-2004 Mercury Optimax 225 hp, approx 135 hrs. This motor was professionally installed late in the season of 2004. Smartcraft guage pack and new Quicksilver controls were also installed. New stainless steel prop.

-2 new batteries 2005.

-Cox Super Loader trailer, all rollers good. Needs brakes. Strong electric winch, and new tongue jack.

-custom leaning post, which is in rough shape (easily restorable), but we have the original captain's chairs, which were never used and are basically brand new.

-boat has the original Mako canvas bimini top and bow dodger, which are in great shape

This boat is a classic and with the new power it's fast (have seen 47 mph on gps with light load) and get's great gas mileage. I have complete faith in this boat and trust it enough to take my beloved family far offshore.

Asking price was $16,000, NOW $15,000 OR BEST OFFER! For this price, you are getting a basically new motor and nice new gps/fishfinder with an almost free hull and trailer and a spot in a very desirable marina.

I've got that same hull and I can say that thing is a wave eater. It cuts the water like a 26' hull. Thats a good deal for 16K.

thanks, yeah we love the boat, but can't afford to keep two.

in the perfect world, i would have a big twin diesel sportfisher to go to the canyons and this boat to do the closer stuff...

but my powerball tickets keep disappointing me!
