I was looking at a post about "under water snakes" and saw the comment from saltydawg about eels escaping from minnow traps.

I have been using a minnow trap for years with mixed success. Maybe in part that the eels are escaping before I haul my gear.

Does anyone have a design I can use to make a successful trap?

Im open to any comments that the board has.
