“The sea was angry that day my friends! Like an old man trying to send back soup at a deli.”

-- George Castanza

I traveled the RI coastline to find some fishable water today and although I did get to throw a few casts on the west side of Beavertail Point, I eventually opted for the camera instead of the surf rod.

Here’s a photo essay that reveals what it was like during a hard blow from the east.

The first stop was Beavertail where the sky was still somewhat bright, but the sea foam was filling every east facing cut.

The next stop was near Quonnochontaug where the beaches were being torn up by high tide in conjunction with high winds from the east.

This beach took a hit. Fresh Pond Rock was in the teeth of the storm.

Weekapaug Point was at least a little protected.
