I've got leaves falling off the maple trees in my yard allready,
Seems like it VERY early !!! nuts on my driveway, maybe the squirrels stocking up early ???
What does this mean ???
Bad (good for me ) winter coming???

squirells seem to know.....
when winters will be more severe
and will stock up on acorns
earlier and and real late in the day.

the result of global warming is more precipitation
meaning more snowfall

hurricane season seems to be happening late in the year.

The Old Farmers Almanac says its going to be a very bad winter.

I like bad winters !!!

I read this morning that a fungus combined with caterpillar damage has led to early leaf drop. So much for the beautiful New England foilage this yrear.

Many trees were stressed this year.

I have leaves falling off certain trees. I assumed it was do to lack of water , not an early winter. I could be wrong.

My shag bark hickory trees started dropping nuts a few weeks ago. There are several of them about fifty feet from house. When it gets light in the morning and the squirrels head up into the trees they actually make so much noise cracking the shells and nuts it is annoying.
