Went to the one in Brockton at the Westgate Mall (for the first time).
I think I'm going there again at pay day.
Stuff seemed to be less than half of what it costs other places. Pretty good gun selection too.

when you got a problem with a reel or rod or anything else you bought there go back, for service... you will get #^&#^&#^&#^&.

OK, don't go there, but when someone can offer something at less than half of what the the"mom and pop" guy can, well, to me it doesn't take a rocket scientist.

I don't know, most of the stuff I have seen at #^&#^&#^&#^&'s is the same or more money than that of some of our sponsors... Granted some things are cheaper at #^&#^&#^&#^&s but on the whole, it's probably a wash (plus you can't get a lot of stuff at the Big stores that you can get at a good B&T)

I buy from #^&#^&#^&#^&'s occasionally if I'm in need of a bomber or something like that and other shops aren't open or are way out of my way. As far as price, the Salltwater Edge and M&D's can hang with #^&#^&#^&#^&'s. They also will remember that you spent your money with them.

What R u talikin bout ,the deal of the century.
Storm shads for 2.50 cent.,,
U save a wopping. 25 cents per bait...
Giving Mr #^&#^&#^&#^& money just don't seem right to me..
Ya some things maybe cheaper u probably spent more in gas drivin over there to shop prices.
I would rather give it to the guys that help run this place..
It's what makes this world go round.
Don't u get it...U can't be that thick..

I`ve bought stuff from eBay, Cabelas, Basspro, Musky sites, Walmart, other online shops over the years.... and a bunch of local shops.... Probably could have tossed more to local shops.

Thats funny, I buy all of my bait and only some of my gear from my local guy, I always get an extra pogy or 3, or extra eels, and he lets me know what area's are hitting. Heck, I can grab bait from the cooler when he is not open and pay him later if I wish. I figure there are a lot of guys here who have the same relationship with their local B&T. So If I bought all of my gear at #^&#^&#^&#^&s, it would cost more money in the long run and I would catch less fish. It takes time to find a good shop and build a good relationship with the owner, but it pays off in more ways than one.

Mom & Pop stores get most of my hard earned $.

I use a BassPro (Cabelas & LL Bean as well at times) credit card - I get reward dollars (something for my troubles when I have to buy things for home renovations....lol). I save those up and pick up some gear that way. I use their websites for information: weights & line capacity for example or weight range of lures on a rod if I want to compare something. Late at nite when I can't sleep I poke around online and sometimes find some greats buys (you gotta know your retail prices for sure!).

#^&#^&#^&#^&'s SG does have a decent sized putting area my daughter and I will play at for a good 15 mins before it gets so crowded we have to leave (other parents come over and kids play and then it gets hard to putt....lol).

Now a days I don't have the time to go hang out at the small local stores. One I like the most, is at least 72 miles of so south of me. When I go in I make up for not being there for so long w/ purchases .... lol. mikecc does mail order, but he doesn't ship blanks any more and can list some reels online since he sells out so quick at the shop he can't keep them in stock.

I do mail order - price of gas isn't cheap now a days. :( I prefer to mail order from mom & pop store (M&D's/CCT).

Those "chain" stores don't carry fresh bait if ya need it either. :P

i go to #^&#^&#^&#^&'s....occasionally,but only to see who's got their product selling there...
and to have an idea what things are selling for....
usually i'm there to buy Patriots clothing ....like the cotton caps or hats...
T-shirts or camping gear...

but i don't/wouldn't ..... get my lures from them....
i even wanted to work there once...but there was absolutely
no license for creativity.... everything is where it is
based apon some friggan strict store layout plan
so, i said NO thanks... and for many other reasons too
like pay lower than what the minimum wage should be...
and :yak6:most times i leave with nothing.....too pricey $$
