Nada....got to cold water sandy beach at lowish 5:30 pm.... local fresh crunchy Pogies ( oh my bait  )....one little 6 ft run at 6:53 pm...couple other little bumps till after 11 pm. A sweet thick fog started up before sunset and moonrise.... so the brightness of the moon was`nt a factor....lack of bait and where I was.... was a factor.... good to be out though :btu:

Just dinks over here...talked to a guy in a boat who took a modest keeper and compain about the lack of bait and small fish.

But I did get to work on my tan

Couple of small fish with plenty of bait in Cape Ann. Fish were finicky. Same fog, thick.

3 fish. High teens to mid twentys. Of course this was in my boat this morning. All on one of my big yellow danny plug.

As an aside...

Fishing the calm water under the huge moon, doesn't it almost feel like you're on a movie set?

Has anyone ever seen what appeared to me a night time rainbow?

Swear to G....not colors but pale silver from land out into the water....this was in fog with the full moon south east....this rainbow was north east.

It was very clearly defined... 1st time I`ve seen that.

Skitter I had no fog in Barnstable, although the guy I went with is from south Plymouth and he said he was fogged in. Went after work last nite, 12:30, till 8 this morning. My buddies ass must be draggin right now at work. I had the day off.:scream: Plenty of blues trashing my eels drifting in the boat. Several small keepers. No better no worse as far as moon. Very strange fishing under all that light. The camps at beach point looked like little village you put up at x-mas time, very surreal. You could hear a pin drop it was so calm and quiet. Ran up on several sand bars with the boat that I never have a problem with. Probably the lowest tide I have ever seen there. Guy had to be towed out of mud at ramp because he tried to launch at dead low. The inner harbor stunk. When it got light out at low tide I saw things I never have seen before, bars and such. Did manage one 30 lber at first light on an eel. Pretty normal if anything a little slower. Paul

fished a rocky point ,,way ,, north of the bridge from 9 pm -midnight.. no cloud cover, I was casting a good shadow on the beach, no wind ,no chop , no surf to speak of . Although I have experienced every cast fishing on a full moon twice for the most part I skunk it .. and I did last night .. fished plugs and skin plugs .

Full moons can really suck sometimes. I was hoping for clouds, but all I got was excercise and a lack of sleep.
I think the full moon makes everyone on the message board cranky.

Fished the last 4 hours of the outgoing on the Merrimack Saturday morning and only had 6 small fish. Used a variety of plugs - and did the best on the blurple bomber with a black teaser up above. Pretty slow overall. Left at around 7:20am after working down to the jetty. Not a lot of people out, which was good and unexpected. Didn't need the headlamp too much as the moon provided enough light - too much light. Unfortunately - I live too far away (70 to PI & 90 to Cape) to just get out and go all the time, so had an opportunity and went. Wish I lived closer to the Cape or RI...
