View Full Version : Did I ruin it ????
Raider Ronnie 09-11-2006, 07:41 PM I hauled out my boat yesterday and trailered it home to do some maintenance and clean it up to get ready for the cape this coming weekend.
I had my 2 boys start taking EVERY thing out of it ( I found more things that I forgot were in it !!! ) after they got home from school, and when I got home, I helped them finish clearing it out.
Then I starting cleaning!!! and I went a bit CRAZY cleaning it !!!
Every thing got washed inside the cockpit, v/berth,the toilet, down in the bildge, and the deck with a mixture of bleach, soap, simple green, and then MORE bleach !!!!
My usual idea of washing it down in the water has been just leaving the 1 1/2 washdown/ livewell 3400 gal hose on the deck with the pump on flooding the deck on the way in and most all the blood and fish scales wash , out the scuppers, then spray the windows and some of the outside with the fresh water hose at the dock!!!
Did I wash all of the mogo/luck out of it ????
Oh well!!!
It's going to look good and clean for the pics for a broker to list it for sale very soon !!!
MrHunters 09-11-2006, 08:33 PM i say we take her out and find out :)

I pulled up the rubber mats that cover the deck and it was covered with dried up blood kind of black/ dark red color!!!
LOTS of tuna blood from last week !!!
MrHunters 09-11-2006, 08:43 PM i'd wait till the spring when people are itching to get back in the water...
She's a pretty boat AND she's one of a kind... parkers hold their value very well.
just my $.02

yes.
start over.
You could get more for the boat if the Mojo was included...
What are you buying?
taJon 09-12-2006, 08:10 AM I highly doubt that you're mojo will be gone RR. Although I hope you didn't actually wash the livewell itself. I read an article that said once it works well, never, ever touch it. You need all the enzymes and stuff that grows in there.
taJon 09-12-2006, 08:11 AM As for Borat, watch the AliG show once the kids go to bed.

I heard that too... but....well.. never had a chance to try it out.

Thats why I swtiched to a pm conversation :)
I think you should leave a lil blood in it somewhere before the sale...
Flaptail 09-12-2006, 12:40 PM Nah, it's an old wife's tale RR. It's inherent, when something has got mojo you can't wipe it off. Hope you can sleep better now!:)
