My girlfriend and I are trying to plan a vacation in Florida sometime in January and i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions. We are both 23, so we would need a little nightlife, but we are mostly looking for palm trees, beaches and relaxation. An all inclusive resort would be nice too, but not necessary. We can basically fly into anywhere on the cheap so any place you can think of we would be open to.

I myself would like to visit the keys or the everglades, but i'm not limited to these options. Also if anyone can think of any good Florida travel message boards I would be greatly appreciative. I tried googling some but they were not the greatest of help. TIA...

The gulf coast is very nice, white sand, palm trees -Naples, Ft. Myers, Sarastoa, Sanibel Island
The everglades are driving distance from these places.
Keep in mind, the keys are not great beach locations. Great nightlife and fishing though. winter is excellent for cuda and shark on the flats.

I like the east coast better. Seems to be younger people there. Ft.Lauderdale is nice, so is west Palm, and don't forget southbeach if you're looking for nightlife. The nice thing about these places is that the keys are pretty close too.
