do any of you canalrats have a source online that can tell me the speed of the current? I have plenty of corp of engineers tide charts, but what I want is the speed. Thank you

how about these charts for the next 6 days...

17281

17282

can someone tell me if they are accurate?
I been digging for freebie solutions online and if this is good I can stop looking.

Can you please give the link to the above online chart/graph?

its not online.
the new version of the code that generates it doesnt include the configs for currents - they were dropped cause they are 30+ years out of date.

its based on xtide - a unix program that I have running on my Sun at home.

look for some other posts from me in the last month. I linked to some of it I think.

that was from wtide.
again using the same data.
I am trying to build my own canal calendar.
gonna put the line for the current and a line for the tide (course the tide is different depending on where you are...)
and moon phases.
heres the image I started with a while back..
(in the wrong thread somehow and it wont let me re-upload it)
