SO i just went in my back yard to see if I could get any distance casting my rigged 7" sluggos on my convench.
Well, I can,,,,very far, and way up in the big maple in my yard! Now I have 30ft strand of mono flying in my yard that I cant do anyting about, nevermind losing the sluggo I just rigged........:af:

haha, i did the same thing, only it was in the street in my front yard, caught the power lines going to my neighbors house:fishslap: ....who knew that a 3 in pink sluggo would travel so far?:tm:
it was right after buying a new rod at the RISAA show, i just HAD to try it out.

I did the same thing in the street in front of my house!
It was funny, cause as soon as casted, I knew it was a bad idea...

cut the tree down , kill two birds wirh one stone , retrieve sluggo , less leaves to rake :D

Yeah, same here. Thing went like a rocket. At least I know I get good distance.
Also tested my line strength. I cut the line, then wrapped it around a stick and pulled as hard as I could, it wouldnt break! This is 15lb mono :conf:

i dont feel so bad now.. few years ago dad has me practice my casting, and when he went back inside, i casted in a different direction and it got stuck right on to the barn (its 5 stories high!) i was so scared dad was gonna get mad at me for losing his plug, but he came out started laughing.. ever since then, that plugs been hanging up there..

Of my office figured Id throw a small plug in the river just to fool around that thing flew across the river into the woods never to be seen again said to myself this was a stupid idea back to work!:hihi:

Wait til Christmas to practice -- you can always say you are decorating the trrees for the Holidays.:humpty:
