I believe it,s called the " grand slam " striper, bluefish , bonito, and false albacore. From boat or shore.

Hat Trick will be awarded to a fisherman who has already won a first, second, a third and a fourth daily prize in a category and then weighs-in the largest fish of the day for that category.

because you can't win the same pin, therefore you will be awarded the next pin down each day until you have won them all....If you pull off a hat trick it puts you in pretty good running for top rod (person who recieves the most daily pins over the course of the tourny) I think :rollem:

You need to earn 1st-4th Daily Awards in one category, then weigh in the heaviest fish on another day (essentially another 1st.) That's the Hat Trick.

that's correct . . . you have to win a daily pin in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and then 1st again for the hat trick (obviously for the same species of fish). Top rod is the most daily pins at the end of the tourny.

by the way, we had a nice run of albies on East Beach this weekend and a new bonito leader from shore. Bass fishing is still miserable.
