View Full Version : Offended By Bass Pictures?

I was thinking last night as I was taking a picture of a bass I caught:
I wonder if the majority of the board members get sick of seeing the same guys post pictures of their catch?
It seems the same the same guys post all the time. I decided not to post the picture.

Just wondering if you guys are sick of the same guys posting. Not that I post a lot but I have posted some.

I always like to see pictures. I'm not offended, because if I had pictures of nice fish, I would want to share them, and I wouldn't want anyone to get bent out of shape over it. I mean, really, a person who is offended by a picture of a fish caught by someone else really has bigger issues at hand to deal with, and we should pity them...but still put the pictures up anyways!

Doesn't bother me at all seeing pics of bass. It might inspire more to go fishing.
I don't bring a camera often enough, otherwise, post em if you got em.

We had a great day on the North River this summer. My 9 year old caught her 1st of 3 schoolies and was thrilled. A day we won't soon forget.

Thanks for the input. I was not specifically referring to me but to the guys (and Gals) in general.

Seems to me that there has been some discontent over pictures that have been posted. I usually post if I think it's worthwhile. Glad the majority of the board members feel the same way.

OK, I'll bite. I love seeing pictures of big fish that are released. Pictures of dead fish, on the other hand, are a dime a dozen and leave me sad for what might have been. I feel a lot better knowing they are still swimming around out there.

Post them! Alive or dead, I love looking at them. My philosophy is this. If some one has a problem with the same person posting his of hers or their fish, nock them off. What this means is post a picture of a larger fish, alive or dead.
What you will get from this is a great feeling of acomplishment.
And allot attaboys from some great people. Including a nice job from the person you nocked off. You will then give that person the incentave to nock you off, and so on. What I dont care for is, bashing because a person disagree with what another person thinks what another person should do with his or hers fish! If a person wants to inforce there opinion on what a person should or should not do with another persons fish, they need to sign up to the Taliban fishing web site. They dont send out a "T' shirt when you join, just a stick with a point on it to stab and beat with.
If its with in the law, post them, alive or dead!

Maybe I'm dense but why would someone be offended by fish pics?

I can understand being sick and tired of the rhetoric that accompanies some pics and god knows there are some here who can make you puke with there photo accompinied rhetoric, but pics in themselves are quite cool.

it's a fishing site ... would only be natural to see pictures of fish?

only thing that would offend my sensibilities if the law was being broken.

There is a "photo gallery" for members to post their pics. If you don't want to use the main board, post your pics in the "members" picture gallery.
That "section" seems to be somewhat underutilized for the amount of "members" that come here.

you can only post pix if you give me a fillet. I think that fish pix esp. for someone like me that doesn't catch these large fish it is a real motivater that I one day can catch some big mommas.
