Annoying but probably not dangerous. Backbeach Jake 10-09-2006, 12:42 PM Little clear things? Sea Sprites? They've been washing up at the Race, looks like a booger blitz. fishsmith 10-09-2006, 12:58 PM In todays Globe: Sludge of slimy organisms coats beaches of New England Salps are tiny and harmless http://www.boston.com/news/local/massachusetts/articles/2006/10/09/sludge_of_slimy_organisms_coats_beaches_of_new_eng land/ spinncognito 10-09-2006, 02:34 PM how do they effect the fishing? I have not done well fishing through them. CJ Johnson 10-09-2006, 03:42 PM They gum up your line real bad. Near impossible to get off too. But if you make your line real tight and pluck it like a guitar string it will flick off most of it.
