Put a little more into it and get your self a jet. I've had mine for over 6 years and never looked back.:hihi:

I saw that lathe at woodcraft the other day. looks like a substantial tool. Lots of features for the $.

how long it takes to order any parts....
is also a consideration....
when they're are coming from china.

and apon blowing up the picture
i don't see the speed adjustment.

Mike, I don't know about the lathe but I have seen other Rikon machines and they are really well built. In Hyannis they sell Rikon and the mini band saw is really really nicely done.

My Jet mini is really fine too.

well the band saw may look nice, but I have one and I can't get a wider blade on it, the setting is just a poor design.
