I decided to post this here as this site seems to have a lot of astute observers of world politics....

On Good Morning America, they had Diane Sawyer in North Korea interviewing their citizens, did anyone see any of this. Long and short is they believe we are the cause of all the ills in the world (debate that one if you so choose...)

But what I found mst intersting is the news reports about North Korea sounded just like the ones coming from Iraq. Things like, no freedoms, repressive dictator, no western culture allowed, little opportunity, etc. Sawyer was agast at "how awful these poor people have it", although she did not use those words, her impression was clear. I wonder if we will need to "free" this country too?

The Dems will have a big year.

u actually bought the crap those people said?

has it ever occurred to you that nothing in NK, especially interactions with outsiders, ever happens without careful government scripting?

those interviewees were set up by party officials to say what they said.

half the time, if you pay careful attention to the accents, they are god damn CHINESE citizens doing the talking (guess they can't find enough N. Korean English speakers willing to parrot the party line).

The people live in such a closed society that they have no idea that practically everyone else in the world is better off than them. When Russia use to let some Jewish people immigrate in the 70s to the US, they use to bring toilet paper with them b/c they were told we didn't use TP:eek:

The Dems will ahve a big year right up until the elections. Then they will fade into obscurity like F John Kerry and the screaming guy. What was his name?
