View Full Version : every thursday should be like this
had a day off at the last minute and boston harbor seems to have slowed down a bit, so i trailered south a little. launched at 6:30 and 2 minutes out of the harbor the birds were everywhere. started off as mostly schoolies so i bounced from blitz to blitz. found some 10-15# class blues - fun on light gear. then the fun began, rolled up on some gannets dive bombing. wow they are big up close. threw out a shad and the reel starts screaming, a few minutes later she is tired and at the boat. 29 lbs on the boca and i'm smiling ear to ear. it turns out she had some friends w/ her. 7 of them all around the same size. would have liked to put out some bait but the dogs were thick. the blues were puking up peanuts and macks. all and all another great day on the water but it won't last forever. kind of makes up for the 50 or so pounds of rotten mackeral i found on wed when the freezer crapped out. gonna screw off one day next week if anyone is interested. ps thanks marshcappa, and bob maybe next time

Niko what was your water temperature there? We had fish at 53.7 degrees and anything cooler it was a complete dead zone. North was cool and devoid of life.

hi rick, next week if you're interested. hopefully we get some good weather. i've got that pogie net and the bait pen if you want them. maybe the canal this weekend. it's gonna blow but it's prime time.
tattoobob 10-19-2006, 08:07 PM Great you had a good day I see, I knew I should have blown work off
MarshCappa 10-20-2006, 09:00 AM Hey Niko, Nice work. I'm going to try and get out tonight as long as it's not blowing too much. I was on the Cape all day yesterday but couldn't fish because of too many meetings! Things could wind down pretty fast now so I want to get out as much as possible in the next few days.
quick decision 10-25-2006, 08:00 PM I fished the spot on the first pic today and nothing. Congrands on a good day fishing.
