TheSpecialist 10-27-2006, 10:25 AM You guys think the MV ferry will run in that crap??
My wife and some rels from NY & Colorado were planning to go over for the day, I'm guessing they won't anyway cause of the rain but you never know..

bill i think so but there will likely be a lot of delays - call the steamship authority and ask to speak to a live person for updates.

Joe,
I can think of worse places to be stuck. The island during a storm is a wild place - I've learned to take my lumps and love it. Should be plenty of plugs washed ashore.
DZ
tonight is the night
Clogston29 10-27-2006, 11:43 AM tonight is the night
Yup, can't wait to get out and hopefully beat the conditions. I've got a good feeling.

I thought the same thing when I was watching the news this AM. Calm before the storm... Too bad I have friends flying in from Colorado tonight. No fishing for me. I would think it would be a REALLY good night tonight.
Let us know how you do.
Rockport24 10-27-2006, 11:54 AM I had the same exact thoughts, I'm going.
spence 10-27-2006, 12:28 PM tonight is the night

And remember the fish like to hang around shallow structure. Mark the nearest reef on the GPS and you're in.

FishermanTim 10-27-2006, 05:26 PM I was fortunate enough to get Monday and Tuesday off from work, and I plan on hitting Duxbury beach (with a 10-15 mph Westerly wind). It's just lucky planning on my part.
I'm hitting the canal tonight, since I really don't want to risk being on or in the water tomorrow or Sunday with the winds and rough seas that come with them.
Striperhound 10-27-2006, 05:35 PM tonight is the night for sure. Southerly breezes and a falling barometer. Might be some quality fish caught tonight
ridler72 10-27-2006, 05:51 PM There goes the cod trip......Bottom of the 9th...2 outs. :wall:
chris L 10-27-2006, 05:51 PM I'm gonna find shelter with a warm woman and a cold beer :D

a good woman and a cold beer on a windy rainy day beats just about anything except a snowy day and a fire with the above
