This is more of a boat question, but I thought I would throw it out here. Has anyone ever tried hydroglows, or any of the underwater offshore lights for nighttime bass fishing?
These are big with the canyon guys for yellowfin and swords, but the idea is to use the lights to bring in the bait. I talked to a guy once that fishes for sweetwater stripers and that was his #1 way to fish - basically creating a live chum slick with the bait around the lights.
Wondering if anybody has tried it up here?
thks.

because the lights attract the micro organisms
such as brine shrimp that attract the "minners"
as they are called down south....and up the food
chain it goes.

I use lights fishing for squid when they're running and on several occasions had stripers rip them right off my jig.

Funny, one of my roommates did too - only he was too burnt to actually make it work.

I don't think its unfair - its not like a striper is going to sit there motionless in the lights while i shoot it - just might bring them to me looking for a snack.
