launched at maco's yesterday am. bounced from rockpile to rockpile, searched for tog w/ no success. now it was noon and i had no fish, so i decided to head to ccb. it was cool to see the canal from a different perspective - marked fish all over the canal. the tide was slack and i made my way north to marshfield - no birds, not marking fish and it didn't look good. headed back to the east end and found the birds - plenty of schoolies but no large. all in all another good day

i've caught them on chunks fishing around boston. they r very good to eat. they head to deeper waters as the season progresses.and they are tough little guys. i've never caught a big one, but i hope to soon.

Togs are great eating fish, if you like to eat fish. You can ctach them with green crabs and sea worms. I got them from New Bedford and mostly Newport RI. They can fight and they love to take your bait and run straight into holes in the rocks.. You have to paid attention to your line at all time... And yes, they do head out into deeper water when it gets cold.

Yes the fight, they are pretty scrappy and pretty damn tasty!
They eat anything from worms to crabs, clams etc.. and in deep water when they get big they definetly can pull!

Not sure yet, I might try the cape. I did very poor there in Oct. but I imagine things will pick with the colder nights. Or I might head down to RI, heard of a few spots that are hot there right now. I'm land bound so my options are a bit more limited. I'll give you a heads up on how they're biting, where ever I end up.

Tried the cape yesterday, not even one hit, even the choggies were silent. Tried fishing for stripers too, nada...only the skates were active.
