One of my buds hasnt caught a keeper all year so I picked him
up and took him to one of my favorite spots. 6 hours later
not a tap and its is realyyyy cold . Told him the bright moon
and screaming tide was the problem . Looked at him and said 20 minutes more and we are out of here. 10 minutes later I see the
tip of my pole moving than bang the pole bends over ,fish on.
Now I brought this guy down to catch a bass so I told him grab the pole. He land a fat 32 incher. Never saw anybody happier, he didnt get skunked for the year. Half hour later his pole bends over and
he lands a 34 inch bass . I couldnt been happier if i caught the fish
myself. We fished a hour more but no fish and the cold was getting to my old bones. When we got to my truck I couldnt believe the frost on it. I knew it was cold but didnt think it was that cold.
Still dethrawing as I type this but the smile on my buddies face
for catcthing two keepers in november made it worth it.

Nice job Shorehunter! You're having a good end of the season! I'm so very jealous. What was your bait/lure? From the way the story reads, you're chunking or using eels.

I'm going to get a few hours out there today. We'll see:doh:

This is one of my best fall runs and the guy I took out last
nite has a heart of gold. 6 hours and not a bump and it was
nasty cold but this guy
never complained. Alot of guys would have wanted to go after
3 or 4 hour but not bob . Even after I said 20 minutes more
and we are out of here he thanked me for trying.
A hour after I got home the phone rang and it was bob
thanked me again. 2 keepers , caught his limit. Told me
this was the best fishing trip he has ever been on.
The man never complained about the cold, just what a great
time he had. This is a real fisherman. Show this guy a spot
to fish and if he gets skunked he doesnt complain. He knows
how the fishing game works.
As for bait eels baby, Using a fishfinder rig . The spot I fish
has a nasty current . When the current dies down, then I
take off the fishfinder and sling eels. When it is ripping
sunker and fishfinder. The current keeps the eel swimming
hard against the current so no eel knoting
This is shore fishing not boat and it is a land mine of rocks
So guys the fish are still here its just how bad you want them
if you can stand the cold for long hours you have a chance
Good luck out there

that is a great story...i love putting in a hard earned night for fish - even better taking a friend along and having him hook up! this weekend was chilly...the fish i was catching were all small and they felt like ice cubes unhooking them...

pats are going to take it to the colts tonight...
