After my meeting in Hyannis was done I drove 200yards down the end of the street. Threw a popper and on the 2nd cast this hit and was brought home to Marshfield. I know it pales in comparison to what is posted here but after many hours and trips to the beach this was my 1st keeper this season. 30" and just as the clock is set to expire on this season. Now I can sleep better at night.:gu:

Last year I would have sent that one back but this year I caught nothing but schoolies less than 27" so I was desperately seeking that keeper to chow down. I love to eat striper and my wife already has it marinating.

I almost wasn't going to post the pic because it looks so dinky with my xxl frame in the background. 30" against my 6'2" 275lbs isn't very impressive. I was trying to get my step daughter and son in the pic but she couldn't hold it and he's only 22months. They were pretty excited to see daddy bring it home though.:jump1:

You don't have to justify keeping a fish to eat--at least not on this website ;)
God put fish here for us to eat, and those are the sizes I usually keep for the table :humpty:
