Need some help from someone down there to show us the way My job is to get you there and home safely we could have a cook out or dinner at a restraunt fish all night come back sunday when everyone had enough I would like it within 5 hours drive if we left at 10 AM we would get there when its light to set up I would stay with the bus and watch all stored gear so you will not have to worry about that while fishing.

Mrmacey, I live in central NJ, just outside Trenton. I'm back and forth to West Dennis all summer and I'd say on average, door-to-door I make it in just under 6 hours. You could probably make Sandy Hook in 5 hours, easy. I'd like to say I could show you some spots, but I'm just not that familiar with many places.

Imho, i would think your best bet for large would be Sandy Hook area around that time period. There is a smorgasbord of sites with the hook offering good rips while lookin at the NY skyline. Pretty cool. Then there is 8 or 10 miles of open beach down to the infamous lightning storm jettys, so ya can pic your poison.

You need a pass to park after dark at the hook or you WILL GET TICKETED with a Very stiff fine. A pass would be cheaper at $50 for the season so you could prolly split the cost.

Maybe some of the jetty guys could chime in, as my jetty hoppin days are over.:D My jettylegs have turned into jellylegs. :hihi:
