yeah I have to agree . I always looked foward to his segments on 60 min . he seemed like a straight shooter , which is so hard to find in his line of work . maybe being a former teacher had something to do with it

He was a class act, something not seen, in the up and coming talking heads.

Saw him jump up on stage at a Jimmy Buffet concert in the early eighties.. he played a mean conga, and looked like he was having a blast!

I've not seen one person ever talk bad about the guy. He is an icon in the journalism world. Did some fantastic work. Real shame. :(
