like nebe said...i bought a mass lot, took out what I was interested in and am reselling for a fair price...where is the crime here?

Because alot of people here are friends or indirect friends of friends.

If you're gonna flip stuff, keep it to ebay.

Being a business student you should have known to go there first anyhow. Stick to the books, not the fishing.

As the one who purchased the flies let me say that I am happy with the deal that I got. I'd rather help a college kid then the orvis shop that practicaly makes me grab my ankles when I buy flies there. I'm a beginner and tend to destroy flys when i'm out there so this worked out great for me.

I think NJ learned a lesson here and I agree this is where you sell to friends and such and profiting is not what this site is for.

He could have done better on ebay so maybe he was the one who lost here. Its no big deal guys.

Im pretty sure that Pete G and Joe Lyons buys from Habs, Tatto, and Nebe and sells them to all of you for more money than they paid. I see no difference here.

Lesson: Part of being in business is not infuriating the people you will both be buying from and selling to. The Vibe on these sites is to sell to someone who is looking to get an item for cheaper than they can buy new and then use that item. The sellers think they are giving "Family" first shot at an item they no longer use/need for a reduced price because they think it will be used by someone who is grateful. If the seller was looking for full value he would have sold elsewhere. There is a time and place for this type of selling but I don't think these forums are that place. Just my thought on the subject. Good luck buying anything on any of these forums for the foreseeable future. Lesson learned? Maybe you could do a paper on this buy and resell.

The difference is they buy in bulk, we do not.

but the middleman makes the profit. same thing here:huh:
