They are just trying to keep the Raiders down by keeping them from getting a 45 year old QB with more talent than the fool they have throwing now!:jester:

(They didn't really sign him did they?)

I hadnt heard they signed him but ESPN's website shows it as a done deal.........makes you wonder a little if Brady's shoulder isnt worse than the Pats have been admitting.

He's been "Probable" for the last 2 years. Too bad Flutie retired. We're toast without Brady.

It will be interesting to see if he has surgery after the season on his shoulder, there are been slight inferences from boston sports reporters this season about that. Remember he played with a hernia for half of last season and then quietly went in for surgery. We know Brady isnt 100%, but since almost no NFL player is at this point of a season, the question really is how healthy is he? With Bellichek's ability to play cute with the injury reports, its difficult to know for sure.

Yeah Slip, I agree about Branch.....you dont take away your star QB's main safety valve/go to guy without some kind of a serious loss in production, plus it takes time to rebuild that with another player. Brady will always be able to throw against average teams as he did against Minnesota, but its playoff caliber teams the Pats care about. At some point you'll trade away a player, or players, which are beyond the ability of "the Bellichek system" to overcome, wondered at the time if Branch was that point for them and think so now. We still havent seen this kicker have to boot a game winner to move on in the playoffs(I say that with no mention of the Raiders and blizzards), so the same may be true for him.
