when you order a few things from an online store and half of the stuff not in stock. They let you order it, they let you pay for it, but when they invoice you through email after the trasaction clears, they then tell you its backordered, but they charge you anyway???

be very careful with that stuff. I ran into someone like that and it almost cost me 1100 bucks. that god for credit card protection.

I think it's illegal as well. Maybe it depends on the state.

heres an update on these jerks-

I emailed them and they insist that they have credited my card, but its not showing up on my online statement..

at this point i am ready to call my bank or visa... not sure which.

Eben - it might be a good idea to let us know who you are having the problem with. :splat: Probably prevent someone else having the same dilemma. I always call on the landline before placing a solid order and verify stock......:af:

I had the same thing happen. No order, no e-mail for weeks. I contacted them and they said that half my order was backordered. I said fine ship what you have. Next time keep me up to speed. Sorry to see that they still don't have the hang of it after nearly 2 years. I don't trade with them anymore either.

thats what I thought too. but things change.

They never send them like they say they are going too. One of my suppliers.......for the flie stuff I make always says we'll send it along when it becomes available. Never arrives. I'll call with an another order and ask about prior order/backordered stuff. Thier reply, "Oh would you still like those items." One would think that they would have a computor program that would handle this. When it become available, its in stock now, ship it, pleeeaaassseee!

I never had a problem with them.But that being said i found a cheaper source for hooks.I was getting pizza one night a and the guy behing the counter that i know for years tells his father in law that i make lures.The old man builds rods and ties bucktails and works on a charter boat.I throw him a lure and next thing i know is he ask me is were i get my hooks ,i tell him captain hooks and he tells me that if i need hooks he will get them for me as he gets them wholesale .Lucky me

sometime it takes 7 to 10 days for a refund to show up on the card !
