 i was out hunting down some property locations
out in the hills.....for our little place in the sun....

on my way back.........
driving down the mountains....i heard that single alert tone
dong... and looked down at the dash for what it was....

the battery symbol had just appeared...telling me that i have
some sort of battery trouble going on...hmmm i thought
and kept driving... i'll have to check that out later....

i get into Sturbridge,Ma......and was feeling a bit funky so i
decided to grab a quicky bite to eat at a burger king
and opted for a rodeo burger for a buck....
it was pretty good too.

while sitting in the parking lot i go to put up the window
and it wont go up via the switch....even though the car
was still running fine.... S.O.B what next!!! as i munched!!

so i pull on a winter wool hat and head for home....with
the heat blasting.... and as i climbed the next hill....
i started to loose power and sputter along indicating
i had better pull over fast for repairs or be stuck in traffic.

luckilly?
I had a fully charged battery sitting in the back ...because
my clairvoyant ability had told me weeks ago that i would
be needing a second battery to help someone...

little did i know.....it would be "me".

with tools on board i swapped out the batteries,(5 minutes)
rolled up my window and headed merrilly on my way....
thanking myself for being such a good samaratin:angel:

I wish that I'd been a seer when my F-150 pulled that crap on the Sagamore Bridge a few years ago.

in reality....we are all SEER's.... and when it's said ....
something like: you must develope your pyschic abilities

it's more about: paying heed...(observing a message from you)
that small almost silent voice that pre warns you....
that most
people dismiss as a wandering mind
...or an imaginative moment
of thought...
and forget about it as fast as it entered their mind....

when you learn the art of Listening to yourself...your mind's eye... so to speak....
(no to the wise-asses thinking about the talking
to yourself jokes )

thats when you begin to make some (seer) progress...
and instead of saying.... Damn-it i thought of that...(earlier)
and didnt "trust my own instincts"
you will have acted apon your intuition....way in advance.
thats pre -cognition.... or.... i had a feeling about this or that...

only wendy's did away with the transfat from their product line...
although.....all of that fast-food is known to be 50% fat....

burger king promised to dump it....a year later they still haven't
kept their word... McDonalds say they will by 2008... pffff...
like they care.... certain meds i have to take have weird side
effects... so occasionally i fall prey to the convience of fast food.

Have the charging system checked out, sounds like the alternator is gone!

Raven

yeah Ronnie!
the alternator has had a high pitched whine for some time now
so if the old battery takes a charge it'll be new alternator time..

i bought the car (used) last july so it's not unusual :uhuh:

My car had a high pitched wine for a while too. It was my alternator.
Turned out it was causing some strange electrical happenings in my car. My clock on my stereo was running really fast, and every once in a while when I would depress the brake, my spedometer would go up. Really weird but all better now. Being lazy I didn't swap out my alternator right away and I had a good spare one in my garage too!. So one night driving home from boston just as I enter the tunnel, my battery light flickers a few times. Thank goodnes it hung in there til I got home. I took it out and You could see some of the wires in the coil burnt out. Car is a 92 with 48,000 miles. It only had 9,000 when I bought it 3 years ago and the alternator had been changed already. Those GM ones are not that great. I have had 4 of the same car and have always had to replace the GM alternator in it. I always go a shop in my town that is a specialty alternator/starter shop. Once you upgrade (only like 85.00) to one of theirs it is good for 100,000 +.

that you mentioned it Eric...
because my speedometer has been jumping around eratically
also....
so that further confirms the hypothesis that
the alternator is caput... thanks for the info.
my stereo and it's clock aren't working either.
