I have a 2002 magic tilt trailer with brakes. The brake line is attached to the coupler and runs along inside the trailer where it comes out at the rear axel. The brass connector snapped in half (I stepped on it while cranking in the boat)

Does anyone know if I can cut the brake line and add a new male/female fitting or if I need to order a new brake line? I read on a site that they do not recommend cutting the line since it is impossible to flange the inside tubing to get a good fit.
Any mechanics in here?

Can't you just change that fitting?
Do I understand correctly, that the line is still good, the fitting broke, and the nut is still on the line?
If that is the case there may be an easy fix.
I'm not a mechanic, but we work with hydraulic/air/water lines at work all the time.

I'm changing the entire line over to stainless steel line used in cars, unfortunately you cannot add another fitting...... something to do with properly flanging the inside tube to ensure a proper fit.

I'll be working on it this evening and maybe launch the boat for some night fishing.

I put the boat in Weymouth or behind the sportsmen den.
The fishing slowed a bit this past week didn't it?

I went out yesterday evening around 8p, hooked up 2 stripers immediately trolling but had to race back ....... chased out by the lightning. I was on the water for about 35 minutes.
