Anybody catch that docudrama on the history channel a week ago?
Interesting stuff, lots of things you don't learn in school about what the Pilgrims were up to before they came here. We have it easy compared to back then, that is for sure.

Slip, I was going to post a similar thing. I saw the whole thing, way better than what I learned in school, also pretty cool that we leave and fish in the areas where all this took place.
Can you imagine the look on the pilgrims face when the first native american walked up to them and ......spoke english! You can't make that stuff up. I was also impressed with the story of Squanto (sp?) and how he was kidnapped, brought to Spain, escaped and ended up in Ebgland, and then got back to North America, to his home tribe, only to find that his people all perished due to disease. Hw many people would have the stamina and courage to get all the way home in the 1600s???
