And it wasn't an easy one to find either....took a little doing

So in 1964 the San Francisco Giants signed the first Asian player in the Majors......highly touted he pitched in 54 games and did not return after the 1964 season. It would be more than 30 years before another Asian played in the majors again!

Good job though TDF......I had that trivia tid-bit since I was a lad! My friend Steve Kirby and I used to trade back and forth a baseball card, 1965 Topps Rookie Stars/Giants card, and we thought it was the greatest thing because we had never known of another Asian player before or since.....we got alot of mileage out of that card as it went back and forth many times! If I asked Steve today that players name.....he would know it without hesitation....just as I have it imprinted in my memory!:btu:
