The Dad Fisherman 12-18-2006, 09:00 AM I agree...Its always Christmas to me too..... It almost looked like the writers last night had been lurking in the Scuppers for the past year...:hee: Mr.Mom 12-18-2006, 09:24 AM I noticed my two oldest kids (kindergarten and pre-school) are doing both Hanukkah and Christmas related school work....at first it po'd me because my daughter kept coming home talking about Hanukkah and then wishing us "Happy Hanukkah".....I had to explain to her a few times why we don't celebrate Hanukkah....seemed everytime I explained it she came home saying it again.... Then I thought (it don't happen often) maybe some of it aint so bad....when I was growing up I knew nothing about other peoples religions etc.....so in a way they are learning diveristy already..... Some teachers are funny though (notice I said some)....which is why it bothered me at first....you never know when one is gonna try to influence our kids with some of their whacked out views on how things should be in the world...... Sorry for the rant.....finally sat down with the second king size coffee of the day...... BTW.....Merry Christmas  stripersnipr 12-18-2006, 01:44 PM Ninth-graders in Plymouth, Massachusetts, were told they could not create Christmas cards that say "Merry Christmas" or depict a nativity scene. "Happy Hanukha" and "Happy Kwanza" cards are allowed. spence 12-18-2006, 01:50 PM "Happy Kwanza" cards are allowed.
