Something to think about when you go shopping for Xmas this year. All the more reason to buy American.
Kinda sad, it's a neat animal.

Was, a neat animal.
The pollution over there makes the PCBs in the Hudson in the 80s look like a pristine Bahama Beach

I'm so glad we're "advancing" with all our technology. Raising our standard of living? Look at what's happened to the global environment in the last 100 years.
The only difference between them and us is that we had our Industrial Revolution earlier.

Couldn't agree with Joe more. Before you judge, think of what went on here before we became so enlightened.
Americans love to get on their hight horse about this kind of stuff. There were a lot of 13 year old coal miners in Pennsylvania, but God forbid Wal Mart buys from a supplier who uses child labor. A standard mantra among American industrial chemists (later renamed chemical engineers) was "The solution to pollution is dilution". Everthing went in the river.
Would the US have developed without that, or without long hours in dangerous conditions? Do as we say, not as we did.
