My lap top is broken, so I have the families and it has no storage or power, I can't see most movies and if I can it goes frame to frame, Slooooooow, I need to get Mine fixed. to answer your question is yes your speakers will make it sound better or worse.

Speakers are important, but so is your sound card.

I hate you guys for getting me into this. Damn addicting, but since the free world wide filesharing sites are gone it is a good alternative but second string to Kazza IMO. I'd rather have the endless music than the videos. A lot of the recordings, music anyway, which is all I am interested in are done on crappy recording equipment like camcorders and cell phones but better than nutin. P.

I spend HOURS every day searching on You-Tube. First it was all the fishing vids and then all the cruise ship videos after my vacation cruise but by far the best has been the music! Being a HUGE Kinks fan, I have found some incredible live performances, rare videos, interviews and even some entertaining covers done by You-Tubers. I am thoroughly addicted.

Is there a way to connect your computer to your home stereo? I've wanted to do that since discovering this site:
http://www.archive.org/details/etree
It has hundreds of live concerts by the Grateful Dead, Little Feat and others which can be streamed and in some cases downloaded. GD audience recordings can be downloaded, but soundboard recordings cannot. Live music is just one area on this site. There is all kinds of other archived resources. Check it out.

I LOVE you tube, I just got a new laptop and I spent all weekend on it and my wife was starting to get pissed. I was downloading tons of live performances from all of my favorite bands. It seems that the quality of the video isn't that great though, maybe it gets downgraded when you upload?
