How long a table do you recommend for building surf rods? Are shorter ones a pain or doesn't it matter? I've got some workbench legs and can make a table really long if I want, but I thought I'd ask first.

Thanks

equal to the rod length if using a machine.

Thanks... not sure what you mean by if you use a machine. You mean a motor to turn it or a professional type of machine?

using a motor to turn

you must have about 5 supports to hold a 10' rod

19' bench. Can build any rod on it. When I added on to the house 15 years ago I got the cellar my wife got the upstairs. Ordered extra plywood and other stuff to build my shop. A bench that long is the balls. I am lucky

I have mine set up with 2 -4 foot sections all the time. I add the 3 rd -4 foot section when working on longer rods.
