Heard good things on this board and others about daiwa conv. reels.
Looking to match one to a 10 ft rod to throw 4 or 5 plus bait - 20lb mono. Looking for all around goodness - distance, drag, reliability, etc. Price is a consideration, though - I won't spend much more than 150 for a reel. Thanks

Sealine 30-SHA. About $125 bucks.

Best drag out of the box of any conventional I ever used, very castable, nice handle. 6:1 gears, and the gears are brass and pretty strong. Only drawback is the oversized gearbox that some people find affects their grip on the rod.

Listed capacity is 295 yards of 20# mono. The smaller 20 size holds about 210 yards.

Thanks Mike - Looks like I can pick up the SL-X20SHA for about 110. Not bad for what looks like a solid reel.
