I've come to the conclusion our plugs take the worst beating not in the surf ,, not on the rocks ,,but in the car .. Mine go in the car April sometime and come out in November sometime . 6 solid months in the car. How hot does it get in there during the day ? Then the cold nights in the fall .

the big one it wrecked the finish from the plugs swinging around its now in my celer where it don't move... best way to check your epoxy for yellowing is to drive around with the plugs on your dashboard for the fall run:laugha: ever see thimber's truck if he crashes he may die from the plugs not the crash:laugha: trucks kill plugs:cheers:

On 90 degree summer days, it cant be good. the heat in there has to be 120+.
This is just another reason why i use the milkcrates with the storage tubes w/holes in the botttom. 1 minute to spray them all down with freshwater, let the water drain and then stack the milkcrates in the garage. Its a LOT easier to grab 1 or 2 milkcrates then gathering up plugs from various bags, boxes, etc. If its easy and quick u are more likely to do it.I dont touch the plugs individually unless im fishing them, I grab the tubes and slide them in the bag.It takes me literally 10 seconds to re arrange the whole plug bag.
Also hope u are not keeping your bulk spools of MONO line in the trunk of your car. The heat will destroy mono real fast. I once kept a dozen bulk spooks of Stren in the attic(just stupid) and absolutely destroyed them in 2 years. What a waste.
