I found out 2 things in the last year. 1. I LOVE walking/fishing the outer cape beaches 2. I am WAY out of shape... and it sucks for me to do it come the end of the day. So between that, and the doctors generally yelling at me recently to lose some weight... this is the time... this is the year.. tonight is the last hurrah.. the healthy food is in the fridge.. and im ready to lose.. Goal is 300lbs by June (Im 350 now) lofty expectations, but at least 20 of this is sympathy weight from the baby - eat right and it will fly off.. Outside of that, just to have a better year than last year, and given my lack of any real fish (barely went due to the pregnancy) - it wont be hard. Slingah 12-31-2006, 09:22 AM my goal is to fish smarter not harder..... utilize some local spots....and not be so obsessed..... tynan19 12-31-2006, 09:29 AM Use my boat a little more. Like Slingah, fish a little smarter not harder. Last year I fished from Maine to RI. So many areas and lots of techniques. This year I want to concentrate on a couple particular areas and learn them before I move on. Also try and fish a little with the fly rod. Backbeach Jake 12-31-2006, 09:52 AM Fish the Canal more. Catch and release a keepah in NH, MA, & RI within a 24 hour period for what I'll call the Trifecta Slam. Catch and release a Sally, a Larry, and a Rocky within a 24 hour period for what I'll call the Sweet & Salty Slam. Land, pic, and release safely my first trophy/ies surf caught stripeys. Plug more and learn how to plug more effectively. Pay closer attention to the water, really and truly READ the water more closely and more accurately.
