The builder parted from Boston whaler, them dude's have won several awards, it definently stands out.

That is what good boats cost like that. A regulator or contender new is in the same price league same with a whaler. There are a couple of lightly used ones for sale in the 115 range.
The fact that it is unsinkable and rigged like that is pretty sweet. It does have a little of the whaler look to it.
As far as the hot girls go they must have something to do with Gaff magazine. I noticed a nice review in that magazine and it is loaded with hot women fishing.check out http://www.gaffmag.net/

Saw one last year at the NE Boat show. Really stood out from the rest. Designer was a BW guy then Edgewater. Top notch design, construction, fit & finish. My only problem is that it is so loaded with gadgets it seems a bit tight for a boat of its size.

Looked at them again at the Prov. show and we are going for a ride in the 29' in a few weeks if the weather allows. The customer I was with bought a 25' Trophy two years ago and is giving it to his son and wants a 29' so I got him to the show and he fell in love with the boat. The Everglades layout, fit, and finish is topnotch. Everything is beefy, the finish excellent and the layout of this boat is fantastic. I crawled around the 2 at Providence yesterday. Impressive to say the least.

I was there yesterday as well. Pretty much went there just to see that boat. Went over every inch of that craft and it is loaded to the gills with sweet stuff. The positively bouyant hull is a nice saftey feature as well.
It is a great boat and judging from the sea trials gets damn good economy too. With the twin 300 zukis it will cruise aat 35 with a 2.4 MPG burn rate. That is imprsssive for a single OB going in the 20mph range. Also hits 57 wot.
3 things this boat needs for my liking..

1) IMO it needs to be a hair larger... 2 more feet and 6 more inches of beam would make it perfect. I don't want or need a 57mph top end and would be happy with 45 wot and a 34mph cruise. I would like 2 more feet in the cocpit though.

2) A tad more elbow room in the pilot house. (that is why I want 6 more inches in beam.

3) the msrp is 199 which is insane. You can get it new for 150 and a year old for 115. It has a few too many bells and whistles...however they are all very nice I am not sure which one I would want to give up. That pilot house heater would keep me out there all winter!

Sweet rig. The twin 300's beat the verados on economy by a w i d e margin...but their new electronic controls don't look nearly as nice as the mercs... and I didn't see any similar engine monitoring package like the mercs have.

btw they sold the one at the show...

Nice layout with the small pilot house and still fishable like a center console!
But 5000lbs dry weight is very light for a 29 ft boat!!!
For 140k, I'd but a Hydrasport 29ft @ 8000 dry weight or a few other boats!

How are they getting heat in the pilot house with outboards ???

For 199 msrp. it better be nice. At that price you could get into the Contender 33T brand new, with trips. I haven't seem it, but from the pics I have seem I would like a diffrent, or bigger house. There was a 27 conch for sale in dennis with the nicest house I have seen for a CC. It was pretty big, but the best thing was that it was totally inclosed and had sliding, lockable doors. No curtains. If I'm going to go out in dec/jan other than clamming, I want to shut the doors and have some heat.

The heater runs off a small deisel fuel tank.

I went from there directly to the 29 hydrosports which you can get for about 120K with twin 225 yam's. IMO, There is much higher level of quality and fit and finish to the everglades. The h/s is a good bang for the buck, no question, but you give up a lot for the 30K actual difference in street price. (unsinkable construcion, pilot house, oodles of goodies, better fit and finish and twin 300 zukis with fly by wire vs older yami tec, 6 year engine warrenty vs 3, also the seating it much better it is like a 32 whaler seating. The head enclosure on the 29 everglaes was big! Lots of stuff could go in there.
The h/s is more open has more fishing space and is in general a more basic boat. Still very nice. Just a step down IMO and for the extra 30K I would be hard pressed to turn away from all those goodies.

I doubt anyone pays 199 for this but it is worth the 153 show price when you comare it to a 27 whaler cc which it beats hands down on amost all aspects and the whaler w/ mercs .

They make a 35'er with tripple 300 zukis...it will be at the Boston show in Feb. (that will run you closer to 300K I think) As nice as it everyone sayts it is...I never see myself owning a boat with triple OB's...2 is enough pain in the ass to worry about at $3-4 gal gas price.

For me... one of the best "deals" out there is the 26' Cape Cod with single 380 diesel for 95K new. (avail in both inboard or douprop IO) 30+ Knot cruise HUGE cockpit 400mi+ range great fuel econ and really sweet fwd deck area. Nice fishing platform. I would like it to have a few more features though...pretty hard core. Looks like a stretched 23' seacraft with a diesel inboard. I bet it ride nice with the weight of the engine amidships like that too..wish they made a 29-30'er with a bigger head and few other features. Oh, the first scheculed reuild was at 8000 hours...show me an ooutboard with specs like that.....If you aproach the 200K range...the 30' rampage with mini-tower for 213( I think) was a great deal.


As for the boat show...IMO it is going down hill. 12 bucks a piece to get in and no one had any brochures...I came away with a near empty bag! Too bad for them, I am one of those guys that actually spends real money. Heck the girl at the magainze counter would not let me have a copy of offshore mag and she had a mountain of them...she said she didn't have enough. Too, bad I will shop for a deal elsewhere I guess. I am getting tired of that show.

That 26 Cape Marine/Albin at the show is a demo boat. It is the same on that was at Boston's in the water show. Best riding 26 cc out there bar none and it is fishy as hell. Spent many a day on one at the BB. That is a fishing machine. If I go the CC route that will be the one I get but with the 440 Yanmar.

The 440 yanmar is a good engine and should give you a kick ass cruise. But I don't think they make it in a common rail design yet...so you are going to get the smell and smoke. But they are less expensive.

I would like to go for a ride. The deck space on that boat was the largest I have have seen on any 26. (IMO that would make a GREAT boat for day charters....) I bet the fuel econ with a douprop I/O is unreal. (I know the simpleness of the straight inboard is attractive but I think with the increased reliability of todays newer IO's and the higher cost of fuel...you should see about a 15% in speed and a nice improvement in fuel econ with the I/O

One thing that concerned me with the straight inboard was the prop tunnel and the tiny rudder. The proptunnel is a good and it tends to make the boat track straighter but the tiny rudder esp at low speeds would be difficult to steer it I would think. That is another reason to go IO..Need to go for a ride before I would buy it.

I am a straight inboard guy. The CC 26 is a nice platform no doubt, it always catches my eye. A couples things that dissapointed me about it was the cockpit depth down aft.....hits you just a bit low I'd like to see it a few more inches. It is narrow for its length....this is were they pic up some speed though and it makes it trailerable but for 26' I'd like it to have a minimum of 9 to 9.5' beam and you all know how much more room a foot beam does. If I were to buy one tomorrow I think I'd spend the extra money over a Yanmar 440 and go with the Cummins. More weight but maybe more reliable in the long run. But for the advertized 95K it is a better deal than many a new but and if I hit the lotto next week I consider one.

I see the one they are selling everyday when I go to sell my clams. It is just a extended seacraft. He just strecthed the mold 2 ft at first, and then 3 ft now.
The others engine models they say 95K, but that is with nothing.
With a top and just your normal stuff it is 120k+
The boat is nice, but I think it is too much coin for extended seacraft.

I didn't see the 440 but I think it was like 147/148 with no trailer when I was getting the sales pitch from the owner of South Cape.
Look at the specs too. LOA: 25’ 8” Beam: 8’ 6”

A friend of mine has the 29 Pilothouse....Fantastic boat. Lots of really nice features. A total fishing machine. New Wave Yachts / Ryan Marine have a couple on their lot in Marblehead...
