A certain someone (who really isn't as bad as everyone says) who is an excellent plug builder does his good deed for the day and drags me out of the house for some fresh air and sunshine on a beautiful winter day. Buys me a coffee and lets me tag along to test swim a new plug. Only I, being the heel that I am, can loose his prototype on the one lone boat mooring on wide open water. :hang: Sorry Larry.:spin:
Actually, he let me off the hook later by showing me the 500 others already turned and waiting to be finished.:bl: Wait till you guys get a load of BigFish's new Spook. It walks the dog with very little effort. Truly amazing. They are gonna sell because they're gonna catch fish. Plain and simple. Keep an eye out for this one soon.
Larry informed me though that the one I lost was mine.:lossinit: :rotfl:
Thanks for getting me out today Larry. It was a much needed excursion with all the chit I've got going on.:wavey:

Did I mention I'm working on a secret project for Larry?

Hey John.:kewl:
I worked on a little project this afternoon too. I found this little piece of surfcasting history that had been left for dead from one of Larry's customers. Saved from a pile slated for the bone yard, an old Luxor (precursor to the VS's:heybaby: ) This reel was in an extremely neglected shape. I think it had the original grease from the factory still inside. It was like caramel. So, instead of hitting the couch and sleeping the afternoon away, I tinkered with it for a while. Aside from the paint on the outside, this reel is in unbelievably excellent shape. Everything internally is like new. I was impressed especially given it's initial appearance. I almost tossed it myself. Should have taken some before pics. The bail and rollers are crisp. The drag and clicker work very well. Makes a lot of noise, but I'm pretty sure that was normal based on the type of gears that were used.:wiggle:
And; a little porn from the nice plug maker himself.:heybaby:

All this one needs is some cosmetic paint. I'll probably end up doing that myself as well. I like tinkering with these things. Everything works perfectly.:uhuh:
