Another rock icon has hit sixty today, David Bowie. Man I remember walking into the Music Hall in 1972 to see him in his first ever U.S. Show. Mick Ronson was standing outside in makeup and a gold lame' torriodor suit ( he is still my fav ever guitarist though he passed away in 93 from liver cancer). We were in the 2nd row and after the show we, who all hailed from a catholic high school, were wondering how we would ever explain what we aw to our parents. Mine never asked thank God.

Well here's to Alladin Sane and Major Tom and the Man who sold the world, Wham bam thank you mam!

I remember seeing Bowie as Iggy Pop's keyboard player at the Harvard Square theater, circa
197something. (He never sang a note)

Hey Flap, did you happen to go to the catholic high school next to the Music Hall?

Just thought I'd ask because that's where I went. I remember coming out of school one day back in 79 or 80 and seeing that the Dead were playing, but I couldn't get anyone to go with me.:(
