fishpoopoo 01-08-2007, 03:05 PM just off cnn.
while the news is of the most interest, i'm sure some farkin idiot here will pervert this into a "it's all Bush's fault" political thread.
Sluggoslinger 01-08-2007, 03:09 PM Its always Bush's fault...

...which could have been a staged diversion whilst some other bad guys of raghead persuasion slipped in and planted the bomb.
Makes me wonder, tho. C-4 is not exactly something you can buy on the street corner (you could make it at home). The press might be erroneous, in that rdx (the active ingredient in composition c-4), a widely available explosive, was the boom-boom juice of choice.
Raven 01-08-2007, 04:05 PM somethins strange..... for sure

Ramsee Yosef, the first world trade center mastermind, actually had a decoy at the airport that was meant to get caught in order take suspicion and attention away from Ramsee himself. That is how he made it into the United States. Diversionary tactics have been used here before. But you never know. It could've been planted by that eighty year old American grandmother I saw being patted down at the airport.

That's what popped in my mind. Though a bunch of C4 (OK, not a real bunch) is going to make a nice front page headline but it isn't going to do a whole helluvalot unless it is being used to set off something bigger...
OK. just read more on it - the package was destined for a Cruise SHip. Yeh, C4 could do some damage there - scuttling a cruise ship at sea would be bad indeed....
fishpoopoo 01-08-2007, 04:46 PM ah, never mind, it was a box full of sprinkler parts.
yeesh, the press is getting a little jumpy.

About a half an hour ago my father called and said "how long do you think it will be before they issue a statement saying it was harmless, nothing to worry about"? He's the Director of Security for a Southern Florida Airport.
see it was your fault :hihi:
