Trying to lift it awkwardly and -stab- right in the middle between the shoulder blades. Thought I was goin' down. Took awhile to get out of bed this morning, but I usually bounce back pretty quick from these things, so still hope to be out tomorrow. Wife and I are staining the deck in the afternoon. Taking sunday off. Been going flat out since the season started, including a late night on wednesday. Body and mind are starting object. Although, I've tried not to go out a few days and it doesn't seem to work. fishsmith 06-28-2002, 01:14 PM Fishing plymouth/kingston/duxbury early saturday morning, going clamming at around 9am. Having a fresh form the sea lunch around 1pm, then enjoy some cold ones and watch the red sox. TheSpecialist 06-28-2002, 03:22 PM I am going to the airshow on Saturday. My wifes cousin is a LT. COL., and flies the big boys. He is getting us into the family tent. Might try fishing the cape sat night or sun am. JohnR 06-28-2002, 03:30 PM I was going Saturday but Liam has a fever so it lloks like Sunday now... Specialist, which "Big Boys"? C5s or the BUFF :D ? TheSpecialist 06-28-2002, 04:00 PM I was told C-5's or C-130's, by another cousin. This is going to be my first show. When my wife was younger, he had a stunt plane. He used to take my wife and her brother up and let them fly it. My brother in law was into straight nose diving. :smash: John what is the best way to get there from here, and what time should I leave to get there around 09:30? chris L 06-28-2002, 05:17 PM what airshow ? I used to go to the one in westover airbase . Is it that one I took some great A10,and blue angels photos there . Im not doing much maybe fishing definately a dump run . Im on call , DAMN network work . Target 06-28-2002, 06:01 PM If you've got a boat why not kill two birds with one stone, anchor off quonset, drop a line and watch the airshow from the best seats in the house. Myself I am going both days Sat. I am going on the tarmac and Sun. I'll watch it from Allen's Harbor beach, who knows maybe I'll bring along my rod.:D Clammer 06-28-2002, 07:11 PM Leave Now///////////////////////////////////////////////\ 95 south, take route 4 south, take the Quonset ,Frenchtown exit, bear left and get in line////////////// seriously, leave early, bring alot of water Enjoy/MIKe Slipknot 06-28-2002, 08:22 PM I am gonna fish in the early early morning with my dad tommorrow, I'll bring my camera and hopefully get to use it ;), then I might do yardwork and be with my family a bit. Greg I hope your back gets better, I did my air cond. Went to Narragansett but found high surf, lots of weeds, and too close for comfort lightening... Oh, and it was muggy... Didn't get a chance to head back out. Air show was pretty cool, brought my son, 18 months old, to see the show and until he succumbed to the heat, being tired, fussiness, & lack of mommy - he had a pretty good time :D - I wonder where we'll be next year, maybe watching from the water :D TheSpecialist 07-01-2002, 02:22 PM I thought the airshow was awsome. We sat front against the fence in the family area. I took alot of pics, hope they came out. When I get them developed I will post some. John , my wifes cousin was telling me that on fridays practice run, Dale Snotgrass did a knifeedge down the runway, wingtip 6' off the runway. He then proceeded over the 12th holes green at that golf course next store. There were quite a few unhappy people, afterwards. He said he hoped that he did'nt ruin anyone's putting. :D Target 07-01-2002, 10:21 PM I agree the air show was good. The only way it would have been better is if The Blue Angels were there. They are by far the best performance team. I used to work right next to the airfield and it seemed like I always worked on the air show days. We would climb up into the big towers we had and watch the angels fly by @ eye level and during one of the practice runs the solo plane dipped down into our parking lot so we saw the top of the plane as he screamed past. That was F$%^ing unbelievable. I mean you could read the pilots name and count the rivets on the plane.:D :D JohnR 07-02-2002, 07:24 AM Yeh bill, that was pretty cool, I'll also agree with target about the Blue Angels, slight edge over the Tbirds... We would climb up into the big towers we had and watch the angels fly by @ eye level and during one of the practice runs the solo plane dipped down into our parking lot so we saw the top of the plane as he screamed past. That was ####ing unbelievable. I mean you could read the pilots name and count the rivets on the plane. Is that why you call yourself Target? You keep placing your body in the path of a jet flying near supersonic, flown by a pilot that is having the crap beat out of him turning 6-7Gs :D ? Target 07-02-2002, 07:53 AM LOL, no I belong to a group of PC gamers,The BadLANs (http://www.thebadlans.net) , and it is my handle from there. We get toghether put up a switched network and play games. In the beginning I was pretty bad at the first person shooter games and would always die. One day out of frustration I just typed in the name Target because that was what I felt like :p and it just stuck. P.S.- I sat in zero traffic both going in and out of the airshow. I grew up next to the base and know the back way in and where to park. :D :D Also the Angels don't wear G-suits and the T-Birds do. flatts1 07-02-2002, 07:54 AM As I mentioned, I spent the weekend waiting for our first born. Name: Joshua Michael Flaherty Born July 1, 2002 @9:49am Weight: 9 pounds Length 20 inches Mom and baby are doing fine at Brigham and Womens hospotal. John, if you think Saltheart is up for some unannounced company then pass along his room information in a PM and I'll try to stop by when I head over there. Target 07-02-2002, 07:56 AM Congrats:jump: Have you bought his first rod and reel yet ?:D JohnR 07-02-2002, 08:09 AM Congrats Mike! Fuhgedabout fishing & sleeping - you're toast! Wow - nine pounds, my wife would wince at that.... I doubt that I'm going to be able to get in to see Mike today. They'll most likely wait until he's out of ICU before he gets visitors. Besides, you need to let your wife get some sleep while you wait hand & foot on her. Been there, done that... Target - is that all you LAN? First Person Shooters? No flight games :p ? flatts1 07-02-2002, 09:05 AM You got that right John. My eyes look like they are bleeding because they are so bloodshot. By the way my wife is only 5 feet so picture a 9 pounder in her frame. The Doc made a judgement call and went with a C-section. I was in the O.R. and the whole thing was nothing short of amazing! Mike Van 07-02-2002, 09:27 AM YEA MIKE: CONGRATS TO YOU AND CHERYL, NOW THE FUN BEGINS :D GLAD TO HEAR ALL WENT WELL . TELL HER WE ARE THINKING ABOUT HER AND YOUR NEW ONE. CONGRATS AGAIN.  Target 07-02-2002, 12:31 PM John yes it is mostly fps, those are the most popular games with the masses. We have on occasion played some of the Star Wars flight games, and we always have some rts namely StarCraft and AOEII, I personally like the Galatic Battlegrounds and Clone Campaign games. Right now the most popular games are Medal of Honor and Jedi Knight II. If you are interested we are having a 100 person LAN on Aug. 3rd, I am sure would find someone interested in getting a game going. Also it is not just kids at our Lans we have a fair number of older gamers (like me lol) that just love to play so check us out if you want The BadLANs (http://www.thebadlans.net) . IRL 07-02-2002, 12:36 PM CONGRATS!! aRE YOU GOING TO PUT ALL YOUR GEAR UP FOR SALE ON THE BOARD??? :smash: :smash: :smash:  :laughs: JohnR 07-02-2002, 12:49 PM I just checked that out :D - I'm too rusty, besides, if I brought my gear, I'd actually need to find the tower cases :D ... I play some TeamArena sometimes at lunch when I want to vent... The good old days were when me & a friend would hookup 486SX25s with null modem cables to play Falcon 2 head to head - circa 1994-1995  Where is that LAN party going to be? Van 07-02-2002, 01:15 PM Target: My son and I (especially) are hooked on counter-strike, but he recently got the Jedi knight II game and asked how he could multiplayer with it. I did'nt get a chance to look at it yet. What you posted sounds interesting, what do we do, go to the website and sign up??? I'm/he's new at this LAN stuff... Target 07-02-2002, 01:42 PM The Party is in North Kingstown RI and you can get the info here (http://thebadlans.net:5150/next.asp) and sign up here (http://thebadlans.net:5150/register.asp) . You can be assured that CS will be played and JKII is also a definite. We will be having a Return to Castle Wolfenstein 5 vs. 5 team tournament. There is also all sorts of file sharing (mp3s, movies, games etc...) We will also be having a 64 person Q3 deathmatch game (think of the carnage) Van come on down with your son we don't allow any alcohol or drugs and we have never had any problems with people. John, you can't be that rusty, drag out your case and come on down. Sorry I know this is off-topic if ya move it it wont hurt my feelings:D JohnR 07-02-2002, 02:20 PM WTH is JKII? I'll think about it :D ... I suppose I could get in on some Q3 but I'd get rubbed out early as I'm a lousy shot ... I much prefer dogfighting EF2K, Falcon4 or Janes F15/18 or when I'm very weak, USAF. I did that a few times a month until Janes/EA split and they no longer hosted the games online... Since then I haven't bothered... So much more difficult than a shoot 'em up... TheSpecialist 07-02-2002, 06:40 PM I have'nt been able to use my F-16 with the new computer. There is no joystick hookup. I need to get the Sidewinder with USB hookup. Target we took some back roads as well. One had a chained gate at the end, which was supposed to be open, we just drove over the grass. Target 07-03-2002, 06:34 AM John JKII =Star Wars Jedi Knight Two it is a fps/3rd person shooter (fps whith gun/3ps w/ lightsaber) you get force powers and all that stuff very good game (di=on't worry if you dont have a copy we have ways of making it work ;) ).
