nightfighter 01-21-2007, 06:22 PM Nice Whippets!
gone fishin 01-21-2007, 11:31 PM Pretty heavy for a small plug - where did you weigh them?:pop: :pop:
GattaFish 01-22-2007, 01:08 AM I call them whips....
I weighed them on a small digital scale... I made them that heavy for wind and current...
I have done particularly well with heavy plugs in the wind and big water. The heavy ones just happened to get finished first. Other colors in the works.
I have some other bodies turned that need to be finished that will be around 1 1/2 oz total.. Much Lighter...
Fat boys are 6 inches long and the thinner ones are 5 1/2... Longer ones still in testing...
ProfessorM 01-22-2007, 10:22 AM Are we not men. Nice work

I was curious as to where you plced the weights - all in the tail or spread out...
GattaFish 01-22-2007, 01:14 PM oh ,,,ok,,, How are they weighted..
They are in the tail moving forward the length of the weights... The ones with the belly hooks and eyes have weights in the same position forward of the belly hook .. The ones without the belly hook have a slightly larger weight to keep them swimming properly...
